So armed with my shiny new 70d and my not so new 100-400mm, I braved the good weather and went to take some pics from a hill nearby.

So far I've only processed the pics from Sunday... sigh :( but I cut down a few thousand to 56!

Here's the set so far and a few of my faves. The sky was quite drab for most of the day so I got a bit creative with the PP!

Nice pictures :)

I was there on saturday and wondered up to a local hill on sunday to watch the Euro Fighter. Have 700 photos myself!

Yeah the Typhoon is cool to watch but the display is too short and he doesn't fly low enough for my liking lol.

It was a shame the Vulcan had to cancel due to that fuel leak :( Thatwas the only reason I was out again on Sunday after having sat there all day Saturday on the hill!

Is Lancing College open for the show? That could be interesting, but if not the fields behind would be a good location too I think. Less elevation than Mill Hill but certainly different lighting perspective.

I can't believe the last few years have had such poor skies!

The sky on the Saturday was fine, a few clouds around for the first half but mostly blue and then a clear sky the rest of the day.

The fields behind Lancing college would be my choice and I saw some people there in a few of my pics that were facing that way :)It's not as high but the planes got fairly close to that side too when turning so it would be a good spot too.

Forgot it was Shoreham last weekend. Did wonder why we kept getting treated to low fly passes over our heads whilst jet ski-ing off off Littlehampton / Bognor.
