I am working on my first htpc that will also game at 1080.
i am needing a short card that will be ok with gaming but am not planning to blow my load on a nano...

would a card like a 750ti be ok for games like fallout4 and BF4 on mid to high setting? if not would should i be looking at, but want it to be a small pcb card.

mini 970 is great but you'd need the cash to get it. Perhaps OP is budget restrained? OP what money have you to spend?

after some searching i have seen the 750ti is perfetic, i thought it was a little more powerful than that.

I am wanting a GPU to put in the system so i can use it like a console. my main rig is in the bedroom and i work nights so i end up wanting to play on pc around 4am.
the wife would kill me so i dont do that, that's why i am wanting a small system to drop under the TV.

the 960 looks doable, do we have any offerings from team red?

I have this GTX960 which is quite compact in a mini-ITX system:

Also, unless you get a GM206 based GTX750TI,the GTX960 also does H265 decoding which the original GTX750TI cannot AFAIK.

Sapphire did an ITX 285 which is a 380 but there doesn't seem to be any current ones in OCUK's stock.

i ran BF4 on ultra with a 750 1gb with 38-55fps, my gtx 560 sc 1gb can run it little higher than 40 minimum and i started fallout 4 earlier and while im playing on high settings keeping all the presets for it as is, i can still run it on ultra with only very minor stutter(very minor on high too) with anywhere between 23-40fps which is still a very playable game and i have a 4th gen i3, high settings gets me high 20s-over 40fps..

so the ti 750 should do it easy, but depending on your case a 270 would be better or mainly for the size then the 950 itx.

A lot of itx cases can house bigger cards. I have a cheap £30 itx case from Antec for my AM1 rig and that'd easily house a reference 970.
