Anything 6 months or less with ok speeds?

Or will BT always be the 12mth+ annoying restriction?

thanks

If you have a BT line you're always going to have a 12 month contract.

There are plenty of 1 Month contract ISPs around though, just search the forum as there are hundreds of posts a week asking this exact question.

so you have no phoneline at all? i doubt you'll get anything connected for less than 12 months regardless of where you get it from.

if you already have a BT landline then there are plenty of isps to choose from with 1 month contracts. just expect to pay for your broadband activation and buy your own equipment.

mm, but you do pay more plus activation for the 3 month be ones these days. Still, seems a fair price to pay for unlimited over capped 1 month contract.

The thing is, i'm renting out a flat for just 6 months, there is a BT box available but no current BT connection/landline. Is there an ISP or something that will handle that without getting BT and their long contracts involved?

I heard people like Sky, TalkTalk and Post Office offer ADSL without BT, if they did a shorter contract that would be ideal

Ok so literally the only way to get any sort of broadband without being tied to a 12 month contract is through a 3G type wireless/mobile broadband?

Or just enter a 12 month contract with BT and pay £70 cancellation or the line rental for the remainder of the contract, whichever is cheaper. A quick google suggests that's what it costs to get out of the contract.

Also regarding your exchange (the local BT facility where your phone line terminates), search here and post the exchange code, as it will have a bearing on what services are available.

The annoying thing about my past o2 account is that they wont le me just pay the last 2 months of charges ahead and cancel, which would just be £15. They're asking for £50 to cancel regradless

silly
