My other half is looking at short/intensive photography courses. Does anybody have any experience and/or opinion of these.

Would she be better off enrolling on a part time C&G course or somesuch?

She's got the photography bug from constantly having to take pics for company publications but readily admits she doesn't have a clue what she's doing :D

Any advice welcome

Cheers

Steve

My mate did a NVQ evening class (I think that's what it was) and it seemed pretty good. He learnt a lot of technical stuff and it seems to bring you up to scratch pretty quickly!

City & Guilds 6923 Principles of Photography would be the best place for her to start. Usually taken over 15 weeks in the evening or 5 weeks on a Saturday.

Should give her all the knowledge she'll need to decide if she wants to take the photography further.
