Just recently got a Phenom M and I'm looking for a decent PSU for it. Possibly to run SLI etc so needs to be quite powerful, but needs to be as short as possible due to size restrictions.

Was looking at the EVGA G2's but at 180mm they might cause problems with the GPU sizing. Seasonics X series 850w is 160mm which is much better, but its damned expensive. Any one got any recommendations? I don't mind spending the money if the Seasonic is worth it just wanted to see what other options there are.

Cheers guys, to be honest I totally forgot to look at Silverstone. The gold strider 850 comes in at 150mm which must make it the smallest unit available, and it seems comparable, if not outstanding, in the reviews. I can live with that considering its nice compact size.

I just thought I would post some pictures of the Phenom M with my new 850w Strider PSU. Its only 150mm in length so its the smallest full ATX PSU you can buy. It fits really well and as a bonus the cable connectors are all closest to the end of the case which means it should stay quite tidy. At only 150mm in length it shouldn't stop the fitment of any long GPU's either. Just thought I would share for someones future reference if they search for it :)
