Short/Low-profile CPU cooler suggestions

My dad's PC is currently housed in a Carbide 100R Silent Edition which has a max CPU cooler height of 150mm. That means that my old 212 Evo he was using, is too tall to fit.

His full spec is:

Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3
AMD FX-6300
16GB (2x8) 1600MHz Kingston HyperX Black
HIS HD7950 IceQ Boost 3GB (my old GFX card)
256GB Samsung 840 SSD
1TB WD Green HDD
EVGA Supernova G2 650W

The FX-6300 at stock, but the stock fan is loud! I've checked his temps and they're absolutely fine. It's just that when he runs anything that loads the CPU, it gets noisy.

Can anyone suggest a low-profile cooling solution I can fit, or a cooler that is at/under 150mm high?

If it was my own system, I'd pop in an AIO, but I live and work an hour's drive away and for peace of mind, a heatsink/fan is never going to leak!

These 2 should fit, but is there anything cheaper/quieter that I could get?

I've got a Noctua NH-U9S PU Cooler and it's great, runs quietly and keeps my cpu cool. Noctua coolers are expensive but the quality shines through. Can recommend them.

I have a Scythe Shuriken 1100 Rev. B. It was the best I could find when I started to read every review and test I could find.

It is one of the best performers in terms of temps and is definitely the quietest with the included fan :)

Another Scythe vote here. I've been using the Big Schuriken on a SFF build for a couple fo years. Cools well and is inaudible up to about 1200 rpm

Yes, I've been looking at the scythe. The regular shuriken clips onto the stock AMD brackets, the big shuriken has a backplate. As his FX-6300 is running at stock, I think the regular version should be fine.
