I've recently moved out of my dad's house and in to a rented property with my GF. Now the plan is not to get stuck renting for too long; I have a deposit saved up and plan on looking for a house to buy in the next few weeks, the plan is not to stay here too much beyond the 6 month minimum rental term.
Now I have advised the insurance company of the change of location in which the car is parked, but left the correspondence address as my dad's house, now I plan to leave the DLVA registered keeper address and driving license as my dad's house. Simply because when I next move again, 1) I'd have to do it all again anyway. 2) If anything ended up slipping through the next when I change over in six months i'd rather it didn't go to an old rental property, etc.
Now I know technically its a slightly grey area, but as I'll be visiting my dad at a minimum of at least once a week (its only 3 miles or so), then there is no problem with me getting post and must be a similar situation to students who live away during term time etc.
Also planning on leaving bank account and mobile phone registered to my parents address etc.
Any anyone see a problem in reality with what I am doing?
And anyone know if it will cause any complications with the CRB checks I have to undergo for work, although they have just been renewed so wont be due for a few (2??) years yet
Many thanks
