Short Term Insurance Policies

Am getting serious earache off my brother to take his GSX1400 out for a spin now and then.

In the distant past I'd have had the benefit of 3rd party cover on other bikes as part of my own bike policy but I've only got car insurance these days and the only 3rd party extra cover it gives is for cars.

Bike itself is already insured by my brother, I'd hoped to get cover for say 30 days to give me some flexibility in when I'd take it out.

But finding temp cover is proving to be rather difficult - either companies don't offer it at all and the one specialist I've found so far couldn't get me cover due to no-claims having expired, and the group of the bike in question.

Any suggestions?

I tried them but no joy due to the rating of the bike and my No Claims having expired.

Getting added to my brother's insurance seems like the only option so far, I had been prepared to take the hit of the cost of a temp policy to avoid doing this tbh. Taking out a policy on the bike myself might be an option but this tends to fall down when they require the bike to be in my name etc.
