Not sure if this can be done, but my better half has a work laptop and when shes at work it's set to use a proxy in the connections settings. When she comes home and wants to use the home wireless network she has to open IE, go through the menus etc to untick the 'use proxy' box. Would it be possible for me to put a shortcut on the desktop for her to switch this off without having to go through all the menus - maybe a reg setting switch or something?

EDIT -> the path is Tools>Internet Options>Connections>LAN Settings

Hmm think I may have found a way, but would appreciate someone checking it!

Basically creating a .reg file with the following in will turn it off I think. Then the proxy at her work seems to automatically switch it back on so no need for an on version.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]

"ProxyEnable"=dword:00000000

If she switches to firefox there's an extension to switch between proxies. Its what I use. Its an icon in the taskbar.
