I booted up my computer today (vista basic 64bit) and loaded Firefox with the intention of looking for some nice new themes and add ons.
I installed a few themes and addons (TV fox, imacros) and now for some reason i can access ANY folder or My Computer using any shortcut on my desktop, quick launch bar or Rocket dock. The only way i can get to anything is to right click on a shortcut, select properties and then 'open file location'.
Naturally I've tried restarting which dint fix the issue and I've also done a system restore which has also not fixed anything. I've tried uninstalling all the themes and addons i installed for firefox which has also had no effect.
Im tearing my hair out here!
Any help is greatly appreciated.
[Edit] Booted in to safe mode and everything works fine so i dont know wtf is going on.
[Edit2] In desperation i uninstalled Comodo, NOD32 and Rocketdock. Still no joy.
[Edit3] Did an older system restore and its sorted it out. Must have been something that happened yesterday. Danger averted. For now.
