Isn't it normally white council members that dream up this stupid nonsense in the first place?
So maybe we need to get them to sort themselves out first before going after the other ethnic groups who go about their daily business without an issue.

Forget it, it isn't even really a Christian Celebration anymore. More a Celebration of Consumerism that occurs once a year....unless of course you count Easter/Valantines ect in that.

Does their diversity policy deny them extra numeration on other bank holidays too? Sounds a bit of a fishy story to me.

I swear this country has definitely gone PC mad...most ethnic minorities dont really care in all honesty....for us its an extra few days off as it is
Perhaps you should read up about about our society, it has been multicultural for centuries.
And for the op, councils are not cancelling christmas - this year a lot are not putting up lights to save money.

The only people who think it offends people are the holier-than-thou politically correct types. You know the sort who try and destroy all types of fun because it might offend one-eyed immigrate lesbians ... the sort you find causing trouble by working for local councils or the daily mail. They are what should be banned ... not Christmas.
Personally I think we should have as many festivals as possible and introduce bank holidays for major ones from other religions to even the score.

Understand that some people can be stupid, even in councils and government, and that the decisions taken by a couple of stupid people do not represent the majority.
Understand that some people are fanatics and/or out to cause a fuss to get into the headlines, and do not represent the majority.
True but they are generaly the same relgion and same cultures, eating what you want, drinking, gambling, etc. but areas where whites are almost non existent and mosque out number churches has only happened since the end of WW2.
why do muslims have to crop up in everything. how do you know that white majority in another town are not all muslims.

Thats nothing to do with muslims tbh...thats down to people here in this country that arent religious anymore which leads to churches up and down the country being abandoned. Going back when my mum and dad first came to this country...there were hardly any mosques around but as time has passed, more and more people ie christians were starting to abandon their faith or religion to speak....its definitely a common thing now if this forum is anything to go by ie how many christians do we have on this forum??...only person i can think of is vonhelmet who iirc is christian and practising but if im wrong then i apologise. But the fact is that there are a lot of agnostics and atheists now....back in my parents day it was hardly heard of someone being atheist or agnostic....not saying they didnt exist because they probably did but its become more and more common over the past 20 odd yrs or so that ive been back here.
Its not like muslims are actively going out and getting 'white' people to convert into islam are they??.

I beg to differ. Three muslim families have (once again) requested that the school my two children attend do not have a nativity play as their children will feel left out. Once again this has left the PFA left in a quandry and the majority of parents in uproar because of the proposed cancelation of what is a tradition in this country. As a comprimise we are having 'Jack and the beanstalk' intead of the play representing the birth of Christ which is what xmas is all about!
I'm all for multiculruralism but not at the cost of the indiginous populations traditions. Join in, ignore or GTFO! It makes me sick that we pander to the minority to satisfy PC.
No but they ARE seeking to prevent the spread and celebration of christianity, at least in the example I gave above.

as a muslim i took part in the nativity play every year i didnt feel left out. why didnt those kids just sit and watch. just out of intrest you did voice your concerns along with the other parents?
