Should Fergie stay or go at the end of this season (or before?)

Thoughts from both fans & others not so inclined ;)

Personally I think the strain is definately starting to show following him calling a fan "an idiot" at a press conference. A number of Man U fans I have talked to have admitted being unsure about him now given some of his signings, not to mention the cost of them & stubborness is decisions.

Then again, he has shown he is more than a capable manager as most will admit if they are being honest with eachother, I say most as some are just too stubborn ;)

For all the worry mongering they are still in a respectable position in the league, going well in Europe & have a big solid squad and a stupid amount of money which wont go anywhere for some time so unless something drastically bad happens I don't see there being that much pressure being heaped on him to leave at the end of the year or much less before that.

But, in the interests of the club (before someone says yeah he should stay as it means more points for x team) should he stay or should he go?

P.S. This is intended on being an opinion orientated thread, not one where someone says something which another does not agree with & a bit of flaming starts. Keep calm or i'll start bashing heads...or will get kev to start sitting on people, paz to be yellow near someone, or majic to bodyslam a few of ya :p

Btw out of interest, when does his newly signed contract finish???

Hinch

2004, although according to teletext he said in notw (memph wanna check?) that he may stay on after that as well, all depends on how he feels. He has also said a shake up of the squad may be in order so it is possible we will see some interesting things happening at Old Trafford soon.

Personally from a neutral perspective I would like to see young Richardson get some more games as he looked very lively when played.

Must admit I agree with...everyone so far :D

Robert, just coz u dont agree with him it doesnt mean he is wrong. I agree and disagree with some of the stuff he says so there is no need to start flaming mate :)

There are certain players he doesnt like e.g. Arsenals Sol campbell who is a great player but mr gilleh doesnt rate him (but he is blatently wrong i mean come on its sol campbell :p)

Agreed, this thread is for the level headed discussion of a topic trying to have a thread about Man U not errupt in flaming.

Oh & Sol licks rear ends ;)

pfft ;) United's injury list is a pale imitation of ours :(

But a squad needs depth to be a real contender to cover for certain folk getting injured. With big money signings like Veron & Rio, Fergie has muted the squads ability to do so imo.
