Should HD7950 activity be at 100% when gaming?

Evening,

I just noticed whilst gaming that my GPU Activity shows as 100% whilst playing all games. Im looking at this in the catalyst control centre.

Is this normal? Im playing far cry 3 at the moment.

if you're not using vsync then yes, otherwise it could mean that you are struggling to maintain steady frame rates at the settings you are using

I am using VSync. I seem to have a steady 60 fps in Far Cry 3.

I should add it is not fixed at 100% but does reach 100% during heavy battles etc

in that case, it sounds normal

Normal, just means you're not being held back by anything and it's giving as good as you can get.

Yeah unless you have some sort of FPS cap on (or vysnc) it should be at 100%, also means you're not being CPU bottlenecked.
