Should I be getting this many errors on O2?

After a bit of trouble with ADSL not working on my line for two days I'm up and running again and forced the router onto ADSL2+ Annex A (was on M initially but really didn't need the 0.1Mb upload speed gain).

Now I know I'm probably syncing too fast for my rubbish line, but are these many errors normal?

Thanks.

To be honest you should be able to sync maybe a megabit higher than that, depending on internal line conditions etc. Those errors are fine, the O2 router is known to exaggerate the amount of errors it actually has.

Try syncing on standard ADSL2 or even ADSL, it sometimes helps with long lines.

Well I have the Wireless Box III (Thompson TG585n) plugged into a faceplate that's on the master socket so can't improve the wiring more than that I guess. :(

It's such a step down for me. I used to be on a 100Mbps/100Mbps internet connection and now I'm on this. It seems to be slower than the actual sync speeds though, I'm trying to connect to a virtual desktop in my uni department and it's near unusable sometimes...

Fair enough. Have you checked to make sure no 'ring wire' is attached behind the faceplate?

You could try speedtest.net to see if your throughput closely matches your sync speed, also try syncing at ADSL2 / ADSL rates and see what happens :)

Maybe it's all in my head then? This seems pretty close.
