Should I be seeing better performance?

Hi

I have upgraded my graphics card from a Radeon HD3850 256MB to a GTX260 216 896MB. The rest of my computer specs are:

Pentium Dual-Core E2180 running at 3GHz
2GB DDR2 PC6400 memory (running at 800MHz)
Gigabyte GA-73PVM-S2H motherboard
Cooler Master Real Power M520 (520W) power supply

I have tested a few games out and cranked all of the settings to the highest on all of them (except GTA IV) and am only getting like 20-50FPS, I was expecting solid 50-60FPS to be honest. I'm guessing this is down to my processor and the lack of memory?

What do you recommend upgrading to in regards to my CPU and memory?

Thanks for your help.

your procesor is solid and so its the GPU so what OS are you using?
If its windows 7 or vista, its most likely your RAM bottlenecking all your other hardwares capabilitys due to aero taking up 500 - 1 gig or RAM 24/7.
So upgrade your ram first.

Hmmm not sure then. Well get more memory as thats cheaper and can go along with your current. Cause your CPU is pretty good at 3ghz.
lets see what others have to say.

Ok. Just consulted my gaming pal, running 2x GTX260 in sli and he's running maxed out settings on a 24" screen and FPS is huge. Slightly better CPU than yours and Win7 but his real advantage is better and more RAM! Even though XP only addresses a max of 3. something of RAM you could try a higher speed 4Gb kit. Stop gap would be my first suggestion of running lower AA settings etc.
