Should I block outbound connections?

I noticed that my router blocks all inbound connections apart from the ones I specify, would it be a good idea to block outbound connections as well apart from ones like http, to make my pc more secure against trojans?

if you've already got an antivirus and dont download stuff you shouldnt, you wont have trojans on your system

seriously, unless your a fool who regularly downloads "office crack !!!oneone" from the torrents, or downloads attachments on e-mails you dont trust, you dont need to worry about trojans
