Should I bother upgrading?

Sup all, I need my PC to last maybe another 8 months at best. It's fairly decent spec, SSD, i5 @4Ghz, 8GB ram etc etc. The GPU is a GTX 670 FTW edition, which is on the larger PCB allowing it to run under load without so much as thinking of spinning the fan up.

I like that, silence is key :D

Anyway, a few games are making me nervous, I truly have no games that I have played (bar Assassins Creed 4, GTA V and... No that's all I can think of) at 1080p MAX settings that has brought my system below 60fps...

So, is it worth getting another one of the above cards to sli with or just stick it out?

This is in the gaming session as it's to do with gaming :)
 
Waste of cash to upgrade from that spec. You're not going to run into any issues running most games at or near max - especially at 1080p.

what cant you play maxed out atm? and what do you expect that you wont be able to play maxed which is upcoming?

I dont see any reason to upgrade unless you went 30" monitor or summat
 
I've been considering upgrading from my 7970/ 3770K because there are a couple of games that don't run 60fps maxed, but there's not many, there are a few games "making me nervous" too, but I figure it's best to wait for the games and see what happens then upgrade if you feel like it.

not many things i agree on with frenchie but this is the truth.

your pc is decent just play games. if anything the games coming out now for next 1-2 yrs will be fine on your rig as 90 percent are console catered for anyway.

so you got a min 1 yr even on highest settings yet.
 
Got the same GPU as you, great card and added another about a year ago for SLI so maybe I'm biased but I'd say go SLI :p
 
I have a pair of 670 ftws (2GB) in sli, and they still rock. Won't be upgrading until I get a higher res monitor. (or they fail).
 
I'm probably going to move from 1200p to 1440 (ips or better) next, so I'll be looking at 2 cards with approx 2x 670 perf, min 3GB per card. It'll cost a bomb, so for the moment I stick.
If the 870s are as powerfull as a 780, that's probably my next upgrade.
