Should I bother upgrading?

I'm in a position where I could upgrade my rig (sig) to a R9 290X and a Devils Canyon i7 with a decent board.

But should I bother? My current rig plays BF4 etc. perfectly fine at 1080p wether I decide to upgrade or not it will have to last me 2 years but I will be sticking to 1080p for the next 2 years regardless.

I reckon by the time I've sold off my old parts it would cost me £400 for the upgrade, will it be worth it and will I see a significant difference?

No it won't be worth it and you won't see any difference. CPU will be fine for many years and GPU can be looked at in a few years

You will be fine for a few years at 1080P gaming. Save your cash and get a big upgrade in a few years!

Yeah I think it's definitely a case of want over need! Gonna make a big effort to break my "must have the latest" habbit and make my current rig last another couple of years.
