Should i buy a PSP?

Breath of Fire 3 was a good RPG, it's on the PSP. I bought a DS to play some advance RPGS but now I want a PSP to play BOF3 :(

The TFT on the PSP is its shortfall. In GTA:SA the ghosting totally spoils the gameplay, not to mention the frame drops due to the slow processor.

Ultimately it's a novelty item unless you really are in a situation like travelling to work, then it could be a fun way to pass the time.

That said given the choice between playing only on the Xbox 360 at home or having the PSP to work, I'd choose the 360 without a shadow of a doubt. Considering they cost roughly the same you get so much more with the 360.

Totally agree

I thought it was meant to be like that, so i was looking for trails on the options to disable it but there isnt a trails option in this like the other GTA's. Ill have to have a go on my sisters Jap one because they are supposed to have better screens.

Having a look at BoF3 now.

Getting an XBOX 360 isn't really an option as i have a high soec PC for gaming at home, and an N64!!

Played a little bit of Wipeout pure and liked it so will probably get that. Now just looking for a good RPG. between BoF3 and the new untold legends.

Anyone know if there will be a final fantasy coming out for PSP?

Thanks

 thats freaky!

Me and a mate were just saying they should bring out FF VII as there are a fair few die hard fans that would buy a PSP just for that!

Hope more info about it comes soon.

Thanks

I quite like them. But like most ppl am annoyed there arent many good games. GTA is excelent though Ive been playing for absolutely ages and Im 13% done still. Really makes my lunch breaks fly by :)

On the cheap side I bought one for £45 from fleabay with a broken screen bought a new screen for £30 and repaired it myself. Works perfectly.

thats amazing!

My current plan is to get this:
PSP Giga Pack + 4 Games Bundle
games are:
# Fired Up
# World Tour Soccer
# Virtua Tennis World Tour
# Lumines

Price is £240. so will sell all the games which would be new and sealed so should fetch more than £10 each effectively making it cost <£200 :)

Going to use money to get wipeout pure and possibly dynasty warriors or might wait for the new untold legends to come out and get that.

From the point of cases is this one any good: PlayGear Pocket PSP Protective Case - £13

Or any others people recomend.

Thanks

The playgear is a very good case, nice look and feel too it and it's easily customisable with printed inserts. It's good for watching videos as it folds back into a kind of stand. It also feels very sturdy and you will be confident that it would protect your psp in a fall.

sounds good. main reason it interested me was becasue you can use the ports while its in it. ie music on the move and when charging wint get damaged if knocked off a table etc.

How good is the PSP as an MP3 player?

Thanks

The PlayGear Pocket PSP Protective Case is really good, If your buying a PSP you have to have one, period!

I recently had to return my PSP to Sony due to broken speakers I suspect this may have been because I left the headphones plugged in whilst transporting it. So the PlayGear Pocket is good but not infallible.

On Sony's side I reported the fault on Friday and had a brand new PSP in my hands via courier on Monday (even got an apology from Sony for not being able to get me one sooner...lol 3 days including the weekend!!!)

 I always leave my headphone plugged in when transporting it and I have never had any problems. I cannot see how doing this actually broke your speakers though.

Whappers.

Doubt it broke the speakers as such.

This is what it looks like inside maybe you broke something sound card like.

The black thing on the left on the top picture is the phono jack. The silver thing to the roight is the Wifi part and the other picture is the card reader on the other side.
