Hi all,

I've been obsessed with my Wii since I bought it, I have hardly even posted as all my spare time has gone into it....and I've become interested in other Nintendo stuff. now I've just seen the super scope on this famous auction site for only £20 delivered with it's 6 games.

I never had a go on one when the SNES was in, but I kept my SNES, should I buy it? Was it any good? A bazooka in a computer game - how cool is that?!

It was awful.

I remember it took about 1 billion batterys to get it working, then once it was working all the games were pretty dull and uninspiring.

it was class!

the games were pretty much all the same but just looking differnet, but it was really good. and holding it on yah shoulder like a bazooka was cool.

I enjoyed it. But I was pretty young when I had one. Maybe 6 or 7. When your that age anything with a bazooka was cool :D

Unfortunately not worth it, takes 6 AA batteries which isn't so bad but the games are pretty meh.

Yoshi Safari is one of the better ones but longevity isn't very high.

My scope sits in the corner with the rest of the ninty, a nice piece to own but not worth it if you plan to play with it.

Whoop

It's crap. I got it first time round for a tenner and then again recently for a fiver. It wasn't good either time. I reckon the super scope games might appear on Virtual Console anyway. If that happens you can always try and fashion your own bazooka addon.

whilst that sounds like a good idea, I dont honestly believe they'll release everything they could like the scope games for the Virtual Console.

I dont understand why they dont just whack every single game ever made on a ninty console on there now

I thought it was brilliant!! It was the one game that my Dad used to love, too. At one point he was playing it more than me. The tetris thing was a bit pap, but the rest were cool - particularly mole hunt and that game where you had to shoot the missiles and freaky alien spaceship things.

Ahh... *bathes in waves of nostalgia*

Because they wouldn't sell half as well as if they drip feed them on there for the next 5 years!

If Super Mario World, Zelda OOT, Streets of Rage & Super Mario Kart were all just released in one go people would buy 1 maybe 2 and then never bother buying the others whereas if they release 1 big game a week or fortnight then chances are people will buy the majority of them.

Same reason Microsoft only releases 1 Xbox Live Arcade game a week when they've probably got a load of games ready to go.

makes sense business wise, mind you I thought they'd be free at one point as well like a few other people, seems a shame that they want to milk these games so much.

I can't see why they'd ever make them free. They make tonnes of money from each release seeing as it costs them practically nothing.

me too, thats why i bought one too.

Although what i'm saying is that the more benefits that are included in a products price, the more appealing it is. Free retro games would make the Wii more appealing full stop.
