Like many, I am in the market for a new Graphics card.
Living in Vietnam, most graphics cards, including the 3000 series are widely available, but at inflated prices, £1200 for a 3060ti, £1500 for a 3070, £2000 for a 3080.....
I have noticed though that I can also get new 2080ti's, from most brands for about £900... this actually seems fair value to me and would likely meet my needs, I game at 3440 x 1440, 75hz, mainly RPG.
I currently have a 2080, (which I am really pleased I bought now!), but it is struggling at this resolution and refresh rate. I will switch this into a 1440p rig my daughter has ( she currently has a 1660ti).
Am I mad, thinking of a last gen card? is it good value? really? or should like most I wait until things calm down in the next year or 2.... and get the current gen. The money isn't really an issue, but don't want to waste it either...
What are the experts opinions here?
