Should i buy Tomb Raider for PC or Xbox one X

Am want to buy the new Tomb Raider game (Shadow of the Tomb Raider) while it on offer
But am struck on if I should buy it for my PC or Xbox one X :confused:

Which version would you recommend I go for ?
 
I have no experience whatsoever with the Xbox One, but I imagine a large factor would be the specs of your PC and your display options/preferences with each.

I do have a steam link

But I have even better as well as I also have a 5 metre HDMI cable going from my PC to my TV (65" OLED) and an Xbox one game pad for my Pc

But my PC GPU is only a GTX 1080 so not that great for running games at 4k (which struggles at 3440x1440 less alone 3840x2160 :()

PC IMO. Will not be able to max everything, but most certainly crank up the settings to a nice level, get a solid 60FPS no probs and of course can still play in your living room on your couch. I do the same with these sorts of games and been playing the game recently in Living room with HTPC Rig (8700k / 1080TI) and Xbox 1 X pad and its bliss.

Can't be maxed out surely? Must have some settings toned down as a Titan V / 2080Ti cannot even hold 60FPS Maxed in that game: https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/shadow-of-the-tomb-raider-bench-thread.18832183/
 
Also OP it must be said Rise Of The Tomb Raider on PC is still way better looking overall (£9 on the Windows Store as well right now on sale). Shadow looks ok in places but apart from the water FX most of the gfx are lower quality than Rise as is the entire game due to no MS unlimited budget this time so they have cut corners a lot in places & still managed to make it inferior & a lesser game sadly.
 
OK I just bought it for the PC (Shadow of the Tomb Raider Croft Edition)


(Wonder if I will end up buying it twice (Xbox version as well) as I have a very bad habit doing this :o

Dam is my GTX 1080 useless at running this game at 4k :(

I not even the settings that high and am only getting a Judderly (spelling:o) 29 to 35fps :mad:
Guessing my OLED TV not having G-Sync really not helps as well

:p:D:p Anyone want to buy me a RTX 2080ti for Christmas :p:D:p
 
Now I need to workout if am going to play it at 1080p120hz with high detail settings or at 4k60hz with much lower detail settings :(
 
Just played this on my projector , 90 inch screen in 3d and wow.
Even though it's only at 1080p or looks amazing. I only play the odd multiplayer game on the xnox now, everything else is always on the Pc

Try DX11 FPS are not a problem @ 4K then on a GTX1080 ;)
