Early last week I pre ordered the Asus 4890 TOP Spec Here which was due in stock on Friday 24th July. They are now apparently not going to be in for at least a week, although I can wait another week, I really need my system back up and running (8800GTX died) So I am looking through the alternatives and cannot make my mind up. I like the look of the Powercolor 4890 Spec Here purely on the spec of GPU @ 950MHz and Memory @ 4200MHz, which is higher than the 4890 TOP I have on order. The only thing holding me back is the warranty on the Powercolor is for one year only compared to three years on the 4890 TOP. Am I getting too wrapped up in the spec figures, bigger must be better and all that, or should I wait out for the original card to arrive...or alternatively look at even a different card altogether (still in the 4890 range tbh)

Thanks for your time.

I would look at XFX cards as I was told the two year warranty is direct with OcUK.

***EXCLUSIVE Premium Priority 2 Year Warranty***

In the unlikely event of your card failing within 2 Years, OcUK will replace your card with a brand new one, pending testing within our standard RMA terms and conditions

They seem to have pulled the 4890 Black Edition

The bought the XFX HD 4890 XT version, I got it running at 950/1100 without upping the voltage.

I think virus2k has bio flashed XT to a black edition and running smoothly.

Id swap it, and agree re XFX, the one on this week only looks good
Unfortunately I had a bad experience with last gfx card order with OcUK, I pre-ordered one of the asus 4870x2's and was told I was in first order batch, this was delayed and delayed repeatedly and then when the batch did arrive mine wasnt dispatched on the day it should have been and was assured they still had some left and it'd be dispatched next day, it still wasnt and when I rang on 3rd day Id been told theyd exhausted their supply of 1st batch I was going to have to wait a week for 2nd batch, this really inconvenienced me due to days off work/being in to recieve order so in the end I cancelled and went for the 2 4890s in my sig. to be fair its only time service has been anything other than excellent, but what Im saying is it may end up being more than a week to wait for it, so get whats available now

Wow, someone should have had a beating for the **** up.

I would only buy a XFX card as long as dont have to deal with XFX for any part of the RMA process as they are a bunch of useless, lying, lead swinging monkeys.
