RAM as sig.

Do you think I should change to PC2-8500+ C5 stuff instead of my PC2-6400C4 stuff?

Or do you think it will only give me a small increase on my OC
so save the mu-lar?!

Cheers guys

EDIT - Oh, and what make would be best with my mobo?

I`d say no. I have that RAM, I have it OCd to 1128Mhz, it gave me an extra 950Mb bandwidth from stock but I can`t say that I`ve noticed any vast improvement in real life terms :) I get no extra fps in games ;)

Im in the same situation got an e8400 n im not sure if i shouodl upgrade or not? i cant get my ram stable at that speed (geil)

Mine is at 2.1v also!
I think it might be my chip thats stopping me now.
Had a play last night and lowered the multi down and the chip, or rather the gfx card, does not wanna play on boot up. The fan just spins up and stays up!
Think I will save me dosh and get a NAS as I have been thinking of getting one for ages now!

Either drop the latencies, as mentioned previously, and up the voltages, or buy new RAM. Intel processors and chipsets apparently 'prefer' faster RAM (more MHZ) rather than low latencies. Personally, I'd buy new RAM, fast DDR2 is dirt cheap atm.

Also, random thought. How much RAM do you have? If it's a question of limiting your overclock you may need to bump the NB voltage, or bump a lot with 4gb RAM.
