should i change my storage set up

Hi i have the following drives in my pc, now not a heavy gamer but starting to get back into it and wondered, what would you recommend. i have a spare M2 slot unused on a msi B450 gaming pro carbon. ?

Samsung 870 evo 1GB for Games
Crucial mx500 1Gb for general

I suggest running CrystalDiskInfo to check the health of your drives. The 870 EVO has a poor reputation for reliability so that's the one I'd consider replacing for that reason rather than performance, but not if it's still healthy.

Thanks I use crystal disk info I just wondered if I was doing it wrong and should drop the Sata and have a bigger nmve

I replaced a 2TB MX500 with a 2TB SN550 and there's not that much visible difference in performance except when doing a backup. It does make the inside of the PC tidier, of course.
