I've moved down to a rubishy dual core Atom ION machine, whilst that means it'll be on 24/7 from now (which is why I'm thinking using it for this) on I'm unsure whether running one of the dist comp programs is worth it? Something CUDA enabled might as the ION isn't that bad (well it is but better than the number crunching capability of the Atom anyhow).

What do you guys think, yay or nay?

nVidia ION = GeForce 9400M, apparently, which they do advertise as compatible with Folding@home.

As for the CPU, it's up to you. I have run DC on a single-core Atom CPU just to see how bad it was. Answer - bad enough - but better than nothing if the system will be on anyway.

ten atom 270 cpu's would be a good match to one Q6600 :D it would be like going back to a 1 gig athlon !

And on 9400 NV card has more raw processing power than a Q6600, your point?

I was simply asking the guys here if they thought it was worth it, not comparing the N330 to other CPUs:p
