Should I get a 3DS?

Bit of a stupid thread i suppose but i'm really toying with the idea of getting a DS. Mainly for AC, MH and the Pokemon games.

Thing is, I already have a PC, Xbox, PS3, iPad and a Galaxy S4. I'm not sure if its just me buying more tech I don't need, lol.

What do you guys think? Worth picking one up purely for a few titles?
 
I bought one mainly for Fire Emblem and did enjoy it buy like you I have plenty of other gaming options and found that when at home I used my PC/consoles and when travelling/out and about I used my iPhone so I sold it a month later.

If you can get one second hand then go for it but most handheld titles (not all) are slightly light weight so unless you do a lot of bus/train journeys then I'd probably keep your money.
 
Just ask yourself how much you really want to play those games you listed?

Seeing as you have all that tech, you must be thinking about the new consoles at the end of the year too? Pokemon is not released until October, so the new consoles if you are considering them could overshadow the 3DS, and it might end up being a expensive paper weight etc.
 
I'm thinking of getting one too, in my little world Nintendo are the only manufactures that really have executives games, games such as Halo and infamous don't mean a thing to me but show me the new zelda or Pokemon and I'm there.

It's not just all the new titles, I know there's many ways of playing all the retro games, but I like to support developers of such classics, to show that there is a market for the old IPs and the next game doesn't have to be another first person shooter.
 
I got an XL just for AC :D

I also was gifted Monster Hunter 3 via their gift and hunt program. I then got Donkey Kong to boot. I registered the 3 games on club Nintendo and got fire emblem free too via their many games incentive.

So atm you could potentially get four games for the price of two

That does sound like a pretty awesome deal. How do I get a gifted MH3?
 
I've been thinking of getting the MH Bundle of the XL in August, because I love MH, then getting Fire Emblem and the new Pokemon... Still wondering though if it's worth the money or if I could get anything better...
 
They're well worth it if you have a long commute or travel a good deal. There's plenty of good games at the mo. I doubt you'd use it much at home.
 
The main reason I've never got one is that the Mario games are all over £30 and I just know that realistically, I'd only end up buying 2 of those.
