A certain high street retailer is selling GC's for 29.99 is it worth me picking one up??

I already have a PC, PS2 and an Xbox.

Would the GC offer me anything I cannot get on those?

Cheers

EDIT- and if you dont like it you can easily sell it for the same price.

I picked up a cheap cube for Donkey Konga and other games aged at younger kids. I haven't tried any of the resident evil series etc although I hear they are brilliant, then again I have a PS2, Xbox (2 off) and a 360 and little time to play any of them.
I figure the 360 is for me.
The GC is for my daughter.
The PS2 is for party games (possibly the GC as well).
The Xboxes are for media centers.

The Gamecube is just one of those consoles that you have to have, especially if it's that cheap. Great for when you have the family around. Still plenty of fun to be had with Mario Kart 4-player.

I was gonna get one, but i quite fancy a Wii (hate that name) and i heard they are backwards compatible, so might just hold off for now

Me personally would hold out for the Wii and play any Cube games you fancy on that.

However if you don't wish to spend money or wait for a Wii :p then a Gamecube would be a nice purchase

It's a great little piece of kit - money well spent if you ask me. Get yourself a freeloader disk as well & the world's your oyster! :)
