Should I get a new copy of Windows 7 before Windows 8 comes out???

Hi all

I’m just about to get myself a new GTX680 and I’m just wondering is it worth me picking up a new OEM copy of Windows 7 x64 along with it?

The reason I ask is because I probably wont get around to doing a full system rebuild until next year and by that time Windows 8 will be out and from what I've read and seen so far Win 8 is going to be pretty useless on a desktop PC.

So should I get a spare copy of Win 7 now just to be prepared for when I do finally get around to doing a system rebuild???

If you are still on XP then yes, get a copy Win 7.

Windows 7 comes with x32 and x64, does it not, I know mine did. Why would you need a new copy, do you not have your original one.

Win 7 will still be available for purchase after win8. Probably cheaper too.
