Should I get a new screen ?

I've had my :hansol 700fs for around 4 -5 years now, its TFT 17'' I'm seeking advise on upgrading to a better monitor. If I get a better monitor willl I see a difference in quality?

Hansol 700fs has a contrast ratio of only 350:1 and a response time of 35 ms according the specs I've just seen. Just about any screen you could get would be better. Typically LCDs have contrast ratio of 700:1 or 800:1 nowadays and the slowest screens you'll see is around 16 ms.

You could also invest in a MVA/PVA/IPS panel screen and get much better viewing angles.

ok can you spec me a black slim 17'' TFT with good everything? well 17" or bigger to w/e my Graphics card can do, see sig

19" and 17" use the same res, and 19" widescreen use 1440*900 too which is around the same number of pixels, so any of those should be fine with your video card.

What sort of budget, and are you looking at a regular 5:4 or a widescreen?

I'm not bothered whether it is widescreen or normal, which is the best for gaming?
