Should I get COD 4?

I know I made whole thread about getting blackops and sine people reccomened me not getting it I'm thinking about getting cod 4.

yeah not sure why though, cod4 is very easy to get into and unless you have no fps skill at all you wont find yourself doing too badly

I played COD4 when it was the latest one out, it's a great game. It's cheap enough now too.

it'll take a little adjusting to after playing mw2, but you'll be fine

Sold my copy a while back and wish I hadn't now. The last 2 COD's are console ports and suck balls.

get it its class, as for getting raped by the "ELITE" is this the same cod4 you could get a head shot from 60 feet from the hip? lol youll be fine, doesnt take long to adjust to the feel of the game and the principle remains the same without the never ending kill streaks raining from every angle.

To be honest I think it kinda depends on your approach to the game. If you're looking for serious competitive gaming I think COD4 is the one to play, however if you're looking to have a few kicks for fun then Black Ops is the one to get. COD4 is fun but In my personal experience MW2 and Black Ops were much more enjoyable for me. Black Ops won't be in a serious competitive gaming state for a while I reckon, at least not for PC, not until the current problems are fixed with a patch.

yep, can be had cheap second hand (you can actually buy this one used, providing its from a decent seller and they pass on a CD key!) and im not a great player andi still enjoy it. ignore the remark about its full of elite players, its really not worse than any other game.

Yes get COD 4 - it is the best in the series so far (though I haven't played Black Ops yet).

The problem with COD4 now is lots of servers only play one map or game type. The one thing I liked about MW2 is that you could always get a game of Domination or S&D or whatever game type you prefered.

The other problem is most servers allow too many players, not many COD maps are really big enough to accomodate more than 18 players. I find most servers have 24 players or more and it makes for a very overcrowded experience.
