Hi all.

I recently bought the following gaming laptop:
ASUS ROG Strix GL702VM-GC182T
specs:
Intel Kabylake i7-7700HQ, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, 1 TB HDD, Nvidia GTX1060 3 GB
17.3" (16:9) LED backlit FHD (1920x1080) 60Hz

I only play CSGO. Used to play on much worse laptop, my prefered resolution is 4:3 800 600, fps on this resolution didnt improve much and on higher resolution fps isnt impressive either... (low settings btw)
Fps right now on 16:10 1600x1024 is in the 130-200 range... on 800x600 it doesnt get higher...

Maybe some settings are wrong or something.
Nvidia drivers are updated and power settings are on performance.

Any ideas guys? Thanks

idk mate 130-200 is pretty high FPS (considering u can only see 30-60 range)....

Why would you want/need more? unless you wana make more heat for no visible gain?
also older games tend not to utilise multicore CPU's and new GPU technology as much as a newer game for example so you can expect less FPS (look at Guild Wars 2 for example gtx 1080 high settings etc overclocked still getting like 60-90 FPS is WvW game mode due to people, story mode I get like 100+) but it won't go more as old game poorly optimises for even a dual core let alone 4/6/8 etc
