Should I get more Watts (PSU)

Currently running on 500w PSU but with the new additions im buying soon not sure if il need to go bigger. If so I may as well get PSU before other one pops.

Running i5-2500k, 7850, 8gb DDR3, 1xssd, 3xhdd, 6xfans, h100i, fan controller, dvd-rw, memory card reader.

Also take into account usually have smart phone plugged in via usb3, joypad connected as well as usual peripherals.
 
My PSU is a cheap model.

Only ever had 2 models break on me. One came with a prebuilt dell i purchased many years ago, and the other was an expensive modular. So happy to buy £25 PSUs rather than over complicated models that dont last.
 
You get what you pay for is basically what it comes down to.

Even expensive modular PSUs fail, however their failure rate is lower and they put other components of your system at less risk if the worst does happen. You shouldn't use that one bad experience to colour your whole view on premium PSUs. You are putting a lot of stress and risk on a single cheap component which could well end up going bang and damaging others. Personally that would play on my mind and while in the short term it may be more hassle and expense, it could save you time and money in the future.

I'd say it would be time to invest in something proven and reliable. The general consensus is that a Seasonic based PSU from the better brands like Corsair, XFX, BeQuiet etc is what you should go for. It will be enough but DO NOT skimp out on psus.go for a good brand like seasonic,corsair,coolermaster,nzxt,enermax,i would reccomend the corsair 500w series psu
