Hi - really confused as to whether I should get MW2 on PS3 or PC. PC spec is i7 .. currently only have a nvidia 9800GTX+ gfx card but would consider upgrading to latest ATI card. Monitor is 24 inch widescreen dell.

What do you guys think?

c'mon guys - my choice is pc or ps3. im totally confused .. and i want to buy it tonight :(

To be fair we cant make the decision for you. Do you prefer playing on PC or PS3 in general? would you rather have mouse/keys or pad? if you still cant decide then go with which evers cheaper or toss a coin or something ;).

Basically this. The only advantages of the PC version now are better graphics and mouse/kb. Activision have helpfully removed everything else.

it might look better on pc but with the no dedicated servers palaver I am getting on ps3 as the games mp will remain active longer the mp will die on the pc give it a month.

Unlike some in this thread who are either
a) To busy to read the OP
b) Stupid Fanboys
C) On MS payroll

Youre options are only PS3 or PC, i expect it would run well on your PC more than likely better than the PS3 version and of course you can use Keyboard/mouse. The game will probably have more players on the PS3 and the MP will be more robust and will last longer, you may possibly have more friends on PSN so may be easier to party up in the MP modes. If you are pretty used to a controller and have a plenty of people on your PSN friends list ( if not search for the PSN thread) then get the PS3 version, if you dont like the controller and got more mates who will play the PC version get that.

Depends if you get annoyed at aiming and shooting with a control pad, I know I do. FPS games are more fun and challenging with a PC for me. And they look better
I could have bought PS3 version from Sainsbury's this morning, was with colleague who bought it and I was a bit tempted at £26 but held back

Seriously mate are you being serious? Your pc is already overkill for basically all games except for crysis. It will have no problems playing mw2 at much higher settings than you'll get on the ps3/360.

It really comes down to do you prefer playing your fps with pad or mouse and keyboard. Also the pc game will be cheaper but going by your specs that probably isn't an issue.

Maybe think bout who u'd be playing this with? that might help decide whether or not ps3 or pc..as I only play on ps3 with real friends n pc games i'd tend to play with anyone

if you need to think about it then you are probably quite competent with a joypad for aiming....and with pc having no real mp benefits you may aswell enjoy big screen gaming.

personally i hate fps games with a joypad, im pathetic when it comes to aiming :p

I haven't played the PC version but, you can see my PC spec in my sig, I'd be impressed if my PC was running MW2 like my PS3 is (i'm not saying it couldn't in any way, and might well be better)

thanks for the really great replies and for not laughing at my question :) i hate playing fps with joypad but i think its about time i learned and i am attracted by the longer life me multiplayer on consoles. I have to be honest i had not realised that was the case given how long counter strike has been going :) i bought it for in inlated price at my local supermarket for ps3. Happy fragging. Wish me luck learning to play with joypad.
