Should I Get second 5870??????

Those cards are still quite expensive. If you can pick one up for under £100 it would be a good idea.

Though i bet for not much more, you could sell yours and go 6870 Xfire or for a single 6970.

I would say that 5870 Xfire would be your best bet though.

Im not very up-to-date on Xfire scaling.

I've got crossfire 5870's and it's a very capable set-up. Your only problem might be the lack of VRAM at very top settings with AA enabled on very recent and demanding games.

Wait and get a 7000 series! I've had 5870 been awesome in everygame I've had but I'm gonna go 7970 the later CF!

I was thinking this and really the choice is between.

Spending £100 and buying a second 5870

Or selling the 5870 for £100 and spending £200 on a 560TI 2GB.

Be interesting to see which is faster, the 560TI 2GB 448 will certainly be quieter and more efficient.

For now I've got my 5870 clocked to 930/1300 and I'm hoping that will do until AMD release the 7 series.

More is better! :)

I have 2x 5870 and 1x 5970 and running eyefinity 1x3 at 3840x800 it seems to run most games with max settings 60fps+ as long as AA isn't too high. If i disable crossfire and use 3 gpus instead of 4 most games need the resolution lowering to keep it above 60fps and smooth.

Some games do run better with 3 gpus than 4 and the 3dmark score is higher with 3 than 4, however with eyefinity it seems more gpus make a bigger difference.

Crysis is busted with 11.11 and latest CAP's. It's not even scaling and in single card the performance it's in 20fps range. I never had this with past drivers.

I haven't run Crysis with 11.11's and latest CAP. I will try that out though and see what fps I get.

What res and settings are you using?

1920x1200, 4xAA, all in game settings high and -DX9 in target mode. Before I'd barely even enter the 30's under heavy action. Now with AA off I gain no fps, same with switching CrossFire off, or vsync on and off, even motion blur is slowing it down unlike before.

I wont be pleased if I have to go back to older drivers to finish a game which I'm not even half way through. Then having to install newer drivers again to run the latest games fixes.

In the past I barely had to change drivers when the majority of things were working fine, but since game patches were released things broke, drivers broke and slowly it feels like nearly everything has broken when faffing about with AMD's Catalysts. What works with one doesn't another.

Just tried it there. Wont let me up res higher than 1680x1050 which was my monitors res last time I played it. All settings very high and seems to be same story. Getting about 40 but seems to be stuttering quite heavily. Thing is both GPU's are at 99% load during the menus, but as soon as game is loaded they both drop to approximately 50% each.
