i wouldnt. what with them taking 30 seconds or more just to start the disc. that would actually drive me insain.

True, but bear in mind that firmware updates can help in future. Mine had a start up time of 40secs when I bought it with the default firmware. Then I found out I was 5 updates behind. Downloaded the latest and my startup time was exactly 28secs

just would like to know , will all regions of hd movies work on the player?

also for now im going to be using it on my premium using component until i upgrade to the elite in the future , should i still be impressed bearing in mind i can only get 720p on my plasma?

HD discs arent region encoded.

And yes it looks fab on component.

All HD-DVDs are region free.

my only problem now is where to get my hd movies?

i dont really buy movies anymore i prefer to rent , perhaps the movie site lovefilm will be ok?

LoveFilm have been really good at getting HD DVDs out to me. Had loads so far.

i use movietyme or dvdpacific never had a problem with customs from either and their prioces are usually within a quid of each other, movietyme have free shipping though.
