Should I go 965P for stability?

I'm planning on getting a new system up and running this week with a E2146 and some PC5300 Ballistix's. I'm after a budget board and was looking at the Asus P5K Vanilla and the Gigabyte GA_P35_DS3P. My first priority is stability and was wondering if I'd be better with a 965P board like the Gigabyte DS3 rev3.3 or the Asus P5B Vanilla (2.1 max vdimm with Ballistix?) as they have been out for a while now. I'm not worried about future proofing, just want something I'm not gonna have to many problems with as most of all this is pretty new to me.

The P35 based motherboards have proved to be rather reliable off the bat to be honest.
When the 965 chipset first his the streets there were a flurry of BIOS updates (Gigabyte released two in as many days) as they worked around problems.
With the P35 chipsets there really haven't been that many BIOS updates released.

If you're on a budget then the 965 based boards are certainly cheaper.
For reliability either should be fine.

Thanks for the replie. As I thought, I probably can't go far wrong with any of them to be honest. I'll have another think today :)

If i was building a new pc now i would definately go for one of the P35 based boards simply for a bit of future proofing. Some of them have DDR2 and DDR3 slots so When DDR3 takes off properly you would'nt have to buy a new board again.
