should i go widescreen

a silly queston but will my games looke beter on a Samsung SM-2232BW Pebble 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor at top rez

currently i have a 19" 1280x1040

also will my x1900xt 512 be able to hadle css at these resolutions?

and is widscreen beter 4 gaming than normal

Widescreen is MUCH better for gaming - you get a wider FOV.

Your card should handle CS:S at that res. no problem. I was gaming at 1920x1200 with a 6800GT for a while.

Yeah me too but with a 9800Pro!

Once u go widescreen its hard to imagine it any other way.

Apart from the increased FOV I think it makes the game resemble a film/DVD more because of the widescreen format that they also use.

The only trouble I have ever had with 1920x1200 res is getting a GPU powerful enough to play games smoothly.

once you have one, and you go to a friends house with one of those awfull square things.....urrrgh

completely true, i was doubtful when i got mine but its completely redefined my gaming experience.
