Ok, so I'm playing Omaha Hi on Full Tilt:

Cash table, blinds are .25/.50.

Fish keeps raising pre-flop, i have Ah Ks 2c 4c and re-raised it to $4.50, he calls

Flop comes 3c-4s-5c.

He bets $9, I put him on AAxx or KKxx pre-flop and raise to $30, and he goes all in for the remaining $10 or so.

He shows 4h-2h-6s-7c.

With an open-ended straight flush draw and flopping the low end of a straight, did I make the right move by going with my gut feeling on what he had? I still had outs on the flop, but I'd have never put him on that.

Still playing atm and he's done it several times and flopped the nuts. :(

Reading that made me realise what it must feel like when you stumble into two people discussing computer hardware if its not your thing. Wow.

I lost $20 earlier on a hand. Guy had been playing wild, kept going all in on duff hands. I had trips so fancied taking him on. Pulls out the Flush on the River.

Gutted.

Went down to $14 but just called an all-in with a Q high flush, back up to $110 :D

Amazing how many people cant fold AAxx in this game.

I had Q3d in my hand in a 10-2-5 all diamond flop. One guy bets $3.50, guy with aces raised to $16.50, I called. Board didn't pair the turn and he pushes. :)

How unbelievably true :p I haven't a friggin' clue what any of the OP means.

There is no better feeling than flopping quads and having people bet into you!

As for whether you made the right move.. Not really sure, have never really played that much Omaha... But am going to go and have some fun for a bit now!

I tell you though I love double quad-flopping on a short stack with 3c-4t-5l and having an all 50 high flush with a triple-blind three flop on the low tilt. WHAT a feeling! :D

So just had a quick go on Omaha... That is a crazy mans game I have to say! Number one... I just can't figure out the odds! Number 2, you are pretty much guaranteed to get bad beat every hand.... Just lost about $20 in about 5 minutes.. Think I will stick to holdem!

Is that actually real, or a concoction to make fun of the "lingo" expressed throughout the thread? Not understanding a thing about "competitive" or professional poker, I feel like I've been mind-raped reading that. :D

Sounds like you got wrapped up in the hand. I mean come on - look at the blinds. An 18x bet on the flop signals he's either driving you out to protect his hand, or he's baiting you. Also I know it's tempting to all-in with an open ended straight flush but pushing to 60x the BB is ridiculous. You could've at least "felt him out" by betting double his bet (which would be ridiculous still). Although in hindsight it is easier to say this, but still it looked like you got wrapped up in the hand.
