I put my system together recently and i'm just wondering if any of the bundle software is worth installing or if better alternatives exist?

The software the comes with it is as follows...

G.O.M. (Gigabyte Online Manager)

A web-based system management tool that allows client system hardware information such as CPU and memory and graphics card and much more to be monitored or controlled via a host

EasyTune 6

An easy-to-use Windows-based system enhancement utility allowing quick access to a variety of performance features

DMI Viewer

DMI Viewer provides a management tool for viewing motherboard hardware information

@BIOS

@BIOS provides utility for updating BIOS through internet

Time Repair

Based on the Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Services technology, Time Repair allows you to quickly back up and restore your system data in the Windows Vista operating system. Time Repair supports NTFS file system and can restore system data on PATA and SATA hard drives

Update Manager

Gigabyte Update Manager can update Gigabyte utilitys by internet

Cheers.

There are better third party tools out there that will perform the majority of the functions above, and the board's BIOS is the best place to do overclocking and tuning.

Personally I wouldn't bother :)

Depends. If you use 3rd party software instead and you have problems, they won't support you!

If you use the supplied stuff and don't have problems, well if it aint broke!

Your call at the end of the day.

Out of those, I would only use EasyTune 6. You can monitor voltages, your fan speeds and even some easy overclock options. Since Speedfan does not work with my Gigabyte board, I use EasyTune to change the CPU fan speed which it does very well.

yes Easy Tune is OK for hardware monitoring and easy overclocking. in regards to C.O.M. it's for remote controlling and monitoring designed rather for corporate use so i wouldn't bother.
