The concept of it is not, however the way in which people choose to behave is really horrible to be honest. (Not all people, but quite a lot

I find my mobile phone/MSN helps me keep in touch with friends quite easily.
I don't like the whole "look at me and everything that I'm doing" aspect of it, and as an extension of that, those who actively broadcast everything they're up to, without what it seems, any shame.
Not to mention all the annoying "games" on there that you get spammed about (Im sure you can turn it off/tone it down, but still

Hmm, most of the replies here seem to be in the negative, which is the opposite response as i've been getting from my friends.
Because the people that don't like it tend to be more vocal.
These don't happen to be the friends who are trying to get you to use it?
If they are, then seriously, what were you expecting?
Or it could be many of the people using the forum are antisocial people without any friends?
I don't use it and have lots of friends but I tend to talk to them face to face or call them.
It's cool to hate facebook don't you know!
I love it, I think it really has harnessed a lot of potential that the internet offers into one place. It really is a way of making the world feel smaller and bringing everybody into contact. It's also a way of keeping in touch with more casual internet users rather than the fellow geeks that might have used ICQ/MSN a couple of years back.
Also, don't touch bejewelled, it's like crack in Flash form.

or maybe they have figured out that real friends deserve better not some internet chat bs, time spent online with friends could be actually be better spend with friends face to face.
