I am thinking of just getting the p6x58d-e *B Grade* as I need to save as much money as possible. Would there be any problems? What would be the difference except that its second hand? Thanks.

Depends how much you're saving. Think the warranty is very short on the B grade stuff so you have to question whether the saving makes it worth it

It could be only bare motherboard, with no I/O plate, manual, CD drive, cables, etc.

When I bought B grade motherboard, came only motherboard and that's it!

It depends how lucky you actually are,

send note & ask what will be supplied with mobo,

Thank You!

Mine was just the motherboard in a box. No backplate sound module or cables or anything....worth the £100 off though for sure :)

Most likely you'll be getting a motherboard without I/O plate, cables, manual, CD, original box etc. Personally, I'd buy it new, unless buying B Grade was going to make a significant saving.

OcUK recently increased the warranty of B Grade items to 90 days.

May I ask what you will be doing with the system and have you already got the CPU?

Yes I have i7 950 and I will be using it for Gaming. I was hoping I could maybe save some money on the motherboard and be able to afford the cooler as well, at the moment. At Christmas I will be purchasing more parts.

Your best bet is to webnote OCUK to find out what it comes with. My board did not come with an I/O shield which was a pain.

The 950 is about as far from bang for buck as it gets where gaming is concerned. If money is an issue you'd have been better served with a cheaper processor and better graphics card.

I've bought B-grade before, no problems yet.

It's pot luck really and a chance you take.

Personally, the CPU, Motherboard, RAM and PSU are the main components and I would rather buy new and have the safety net of extended warranty if things go pear shaped.

if funds are tight go for this motherboard

It's at the lower end of the socket 1366 range but is a cracking MB with really good reviews from all the major review sources!! :)

Lastly avoid the arguements about i7 and gaming. It's undeniable that i5 750/760's are more suited but if you did a spot straw poll of i7 users more than 80% will be gaming on it at some point. :) :) :)
