Should I migrate my Nest to Google

Had a Nest thermostat for a while and have been continually avoiding the prompts to migrate my account to Google.

Should I do it or not? Struggling to understand the pros and cons.

I'm guessing if I do I'll have to stop using the Nest app and start using Google Home or something which I'm not too keen on as I quite like the simplicity of the Nest app.

What advantages are there? Will they force me to move at some point?

I honestly don't know whether I would or wouldn't lose the app, that's one of the things which isn't clear and concerns me.
