yo folks finally managed to register after tryin to for a year.

but anyway i have a decision to make, and help would be appreciated

last night i was offered £550 for my pc ,

the specs I have are

Quad Core Q6600
4 X 1GB sticks OCZ PC2-6400C4 Dual Channel memory
DFI Lan Party DK X38-T2R motherboard
ATI Radeon HD 4870 Gfx card
A-Case Twin Engine gaming

he doesnt want my dvd drive or anything

so do u thin £550 is a good price? i havnt checked the prices of stuff nowadays

I am considering it because i mostly only use my pc for a few games but i mostly play online poker now.

and sitting on a seat infront of a 37inch monitor has started hurting my eyes lol

so i was thinkin of selling it and getting a laptop that will be good enough for poker, and can manage Battlefield games ok.

sorry for the long post but does anyone have an opinion?

and sorry again if this is in the wrong section

£550 wont get you a decent laptop you will need £800 at least

And yeah £550 seems fair enough to buy it all new would be around £600-650

hmm yea i suppose , im just unsure because ive had 2 laptops in the past but ive took them both back after a few days , they were ok specs but didnt suit me because im se to a fast quad core.

and can someone maybe recommend a good laptop th at will run battlefield 2/2142?

Stick with a tower if you want to do lots of gaming to be honest. You will only tire of laptop gaming unless its for short-ish periods. You will be paying more for less performance... so if you want something mobile to watch tv/surf then get a netbook in addition to your tower.

A laptop with a GeForce 8600M GT will run BF pretty well. I've got a Dell Inspiron that I picked up for around £700 a year ago. You don't really want to go any lower spec for Battlefield, but for poker and general use pretty much anything will do.
