Should I pre-order Watchdogs??

I disagree. I've pre-ordered various games that I've been quite confident will be excellent, and haven't regretted it. Often it's a great way of getting the game cheap too, rather than having to wait for a price-drop weeks afterwards.

Same here. Research some information and you are very unlikely to go wrong. So long as you don't base your purchase on just one video or something, you should be fine.

AS I said earlier though, I'm not gonna bother with Watch Dogs. It will just be the same as AC4, totally limiting in every way, all scripted actions with an awful UI and running around a mini-map collecting icons.

I don't see the point or value in pre ordering. Especially, when it's a digital download.

I prefer the wait for the price drop to be honest. Look at the price of Dark Souls 2 on steam...£40 as a pre-order...pfft

Because one wants to play the game as soon as is humanly possible!

As for sales/price, I'm quite happy to pay a company good money for a game that is really good.

Just to confirm though, I have only ever preordered Bioshock Infinite on PC and I don't regret a second of it!

I pre-ordered Watchdogs a few months ago and pleased I did.

£27.99 i paid when pre-ordering and last check it's now £39.85.

If it turns out to be a turd well....i never paid full price for it! :D

Stop pre-ordering games altogether. It says to the Dev company "Hey listen, I am giving you £40 based on a trailer. Don't feel compelled to actually finish the game and test it"

Examples
SimCity
Aliens Colonial Marines
BF4

Normally i wouldn't but on this occasion i went onto the game website and they had Watch Dogs Vigilante Edition for only £50 and if you pre-ordered they gave you £10 off the price and i had about £6 on my reward card for some reason? So i ended up getting a good edition for £34 which i thought wasnt bad at all. The next day the put the price up to £70 and i keep my pre-order price.

If it turns out poo ill cancel my pre-order or not open it and sell it on :)

Ive just pre-ordered the Watch Dogs Deluxe Edition today from origin India store for £17.74 paid including my bank fee:D thats Rs 1699.00

Only pre-order if you can get it at a good price else whats the point you be wasting money an the game could suck.

An interesting article on Hexus explains how the developers have worked with Nvidia to ensure that Watchdogs will look fantastic on the PC. This is great news as there have been some unsupported rumours flying around that the graphics will be worse on PC compared to consoles, but looking at this video, it would appear that we don't need to worry about that. Roll on May 27 2014. :)

HBAO+ (Horizon Based Ambient Occlusion):

Vlaise says that Nvidia's HBAO+ helps designers make better and more realistic shadows while being faster and more efficient in use. The technique makes objects seem more anchored in the environment in which they exist and is an efficient way to create a global illumination effect on a scene.

TXAA (Real-Time Temporal Anti-Aliasing):

TXAA helps produce more details with increased visual quality. This is a film-style anti-aliasing technique using a combo of temporal filter, hardware anti-aliasing, and custom CG film-style anti-aliasing. TXAA is designed specifically to reduce temporal aliasing (crawling and flickering seen in motion when playing games).

Most realistic and visually stunning world environment ever:

Vlaise concludes the video by saying that Watch Dogs on PC will allow users "to enjoy and explore the most realistic and visually stunning world environment ever created – the Windy City like you've never seen it before".
