Hi all,
I'm a casual gamer - I generally just play big AAA titles on console and call it a day, but in late 2019 I got the itch to give PC gaming a go and put together a Ryzen 5 2600X/1660ti system, which I have had fun with.
Now a friend at work is looking to dip his toes into PC gaming for the first time and I am thinking of selling him my current system, minus the motherboard, and upgrading to a Ryzen 5 5600X/6700XT which should be plenty for 1440p gaming. I am not anal about having the best fps, etc, I am just looking to strike a good balance between price, performance and power consumption and the 6700XT seems to currently be where its at.
At the moment the Sapphire Radeon RX 6700 XT Pulse is £439 (up from £399 yesterday - gutted). Do you think I should bite the bullet and get it before the price goes up any more?
There is also a Sapphire Radeon RX 6700 XT Nitro due soon but I have no idea what the price will be. More I would imagine - I'm far from an expert of GPUs but the Nitro cards seem to be held in high esteem.
What do you think I should do?
