Should I renew my ESET suvscription or look for something better

Hi!

I have been a loyal ESET NOD security customer for the last 3-4 years, but now its time for renewing my subscription and I am thinking whether this is the best choice...Any ideas? I am looking for a total solution (antivirus, firewall etc)

It's a good product. If you're happy with it, I wouldn't change for the sake of it unless you want to save a bit of money.

Strangely enough my current NOD32 AV licence is nearing the end of its life. I'll probably renew it. If you've got a hardware firewall, do you really need a total solution? Since Vista/W7 have their own software firewalls, that coupled with a hardware firewall, means that something like a top AV should be OK.

I'm not going to bother. Windows 8 includes anti-virus and anti-spyware stuff with Windows Defender now for nowt.

i have tried loads of Internet Security software and believe ESET is the best of the bunch (for my needs anyway!)

When it comes to renewing i never buy direct from ESET, i would recommend a google search as i have some bargains from different sites each year. I think i pay about £20 for the Internet Security suite 1yr and 3 users.

You could even ask if anyone wants to go in with you for a key an dsplit the costs - i put one on my PC, 1 on laptop and 1 on inlaws lappy.

EDIT a quick google puts it at £24 for 3 user, 1yr licence.
