Should i reninstall Win 7

I am having problems with my OS at the minute, and was thinking of reinstalling it to fix these problems.

How many times do you reinstall each year ? At the minute i do it every 4-5 months.

I do maybe one per year, sometimes i have gone over 18 months without reinstalling my OS.

What problems are you having?

Went the best part of 3 years without reinstalling Windows XP.

Guess I probably should have though as it was starting to suffer from registry rot despite my attempts to clear it out.

longest I ever went, was about 3 years, with 2 different PC's on xp pro. It ran "ok" by the end of its life lol.

I tend to only bother if i notice a lot of slow down in stuffs, or i get a new OS. Although tbh, I use images now. Build PC, take an image. After a month or so take another image once youve got all your stuffs on. Take periodic backups after that. Then if you notice its gone all down hill you can roll back to w/e time you feel like.

As infrequently as possible, as long as the OS is still supported, and receiving security patches/updates.

Ive had problems with BFBC2 installations and MW2 not installing correctly.
Ill have to reinstall it when i get me new stuff off OCUK wont I ?

hardly ever do a full install, usually install update it and adjust everything to the way i like it then back it up using acronis, then when it get sluggish or i have a problem i restore and 10 minutes later i have a fresh system
