Should I Replace My TT Blue Orb?

Hi,

My X2-4400 (clocked to 2.6GHz at 1.4V) idles at 46C and Full load (prime, SnM etc) at 59C. I asked in another thread and was told this was high. I've checked the seating and paste between cooler and heatsink and all seems ok there (using Arctic Ceramique).

Question is, would I see a big difference going to something like the Zalman Aero flower? I don't want to spend 30 quid for no real gain considering I spent almost 25 on the blue orb and am dissappointed with the results from that.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Gommsta

(Other temps - HD 31, GPU 39, MB 35 so i don't think its airflow?)

get the freezer 64 pro imo. Probly the best performing heatsink for the price

but that load temp isnt worryingly high so i wouldnt fret about it

Yeah, a lot of people seem to recommend that.

I don't mind spending more money if its going to give me a decent result. Is the aero flower better even though more expensive?

On another note, would changing my case fans to akasa ambers make any real difference?

Currently have 2 80mm ducting in at front, 2 80mm exhausting at rear, 1 80mm exhausting at side. They're generic cheap black jobbies.

Cheers

the 9500?
P.O.S imo, cant cool to save its life.

Ambers will have a lower cfm than your current fans, not worthi it imo.

TTBT/TTMT or freezer 64 pr0.

Ok chaps, i'll order an Arctic Freezer 64 Pro and leave case fans as is.

Will let you know the results.

Thanks v much for your help.
