Got a Intel quad core Q6600 @ 2.4 Ghz,P35-DS3R.
should i Try get 3.6 out of it ?
ive got cooler master stacker 832 with 11 fans inside, also i huge fan blowing inside on number 3 ^^
also Ac 7 on CPU.
would you say its safe to try get 3.6 out of it ?

it all depends

Overclocking that chip is really easy, but you shouldn't just rush it, read around the subject get all the software you need, Cortemp, prime, CPUz.

then take it nice an easy upping the Vcore when you fail your stability tests, don't just jump in at the deep end. read the basic guide to overclocking, and the overclocking thread relating to your bord

as for safe, keep below 1.5V and 70C and you should be ok, but overclocking is always done at your own risk! remember it voids you warranty

i dont know what to do when im in bios though :S,how long do i have to run prime for?

"Very much a personal preference this one, my opinion is that for the overclocking process 30mins is enough, as it'll typically fail in the first 10mins if it's not very stable. Only once you reach a point that you can't get anyfurther should you be looking to run extended testing for x hours. 2 hours might be enough for some, 24 hours for others, but it seems reasonable to do it during the hotest time of the day."

Like they said read the Begginers Guide to Overclocking thread. Thats where that info above is from mate. It's all in there just take your time to sift through it. Also there are links to the programs to use. ;) and most of all take your time and don't just go straight for 3.6, step it up in increments, and if in doubt then ask.
